Marysville is used to close baseball games and even those games that go into extra innings, but what the Bulldogs aren’t used to is a seven-game losing streak.

The Dogs had hopes of snapping that streak in an 11-inning opener against visiting Clay Center Tuesday. Through 10 innings, it was a 5-all affair and then the Tigers batted through their lineup and used a two-run home run to center field and several singles to tally an eight-run half inning. Marysville could only get three runs back in the bottom half of the inning.
