Elise Rose, Marysville, is headed right where she wants to be — to the first official girls’ state wrestling tournament Feb. 27 at Tony’s Pizza Events Center in Salina.

Rose went 5-0 to win at 123 pounds in Saturday’s West Regional in McPherson. The regional had more than 200 girls compete for state berths in 11 weight classes. Combined with the East Regional, 498 girls wrestled in the tournaments.
