Marysville boys started to pull away from Clay Center in the second quarter of Friday's North Central Kansas League basketball opener but got most of its distance in the third period.
The Bulldogs made 26 of 37 free throws, scoring 13 of their 19 fourth-quarter points from the line. By then the Dogs were up 45-19. MHS won 64-24.
