The main reason Hanover had so many senior boys out for track was to compete for a third straight state title.

The Wildcats, winners of eight-man Division II football and 1A DII basketball, added the 1A track title to the list Saturday by scoring 55 points. It took a second-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay to guarantee the Cats would be the first team in 1A to sweep the major sports titles.
