“Can you believe it’s been 160 years since the Pony made its last run?” Alexander Majors, dressed in suit and top hat, asked an audience of 25 people at Marysville’s Pony Express Barn & Museum Sunday afternoon.

Majors was portrayed by Gary Hicks of Overland Park, who told about the extraordinary life of a founding investor in the Pony Express mail service that ran through Marshall County en route to California.
