Work on AT&T telecommunications lines under downtown Marysville that have required blocking parts of Center and Ninth Streets might conclude by the end of this week but should be done by next week, the Kansas Department of Transportation said Tuesday.

Marysville City Administrator Austin St. John said Monday that he had “no idea why it was taking so long” for an AT&T contractor to complete work on the fiber project that has disrupted traffic for more than two months.
