MHS alumni reunion
The Marysville High School Alumni reunion scheduled in May is canceled.
It will not be re-scheduled. The group will meet in May 2021.
Blue Valley Technologies
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, Blue Valley Technologies has ceased all work inside customers’ homes, businesses and other facilities until further notice.
“BVT has initiated these precautionary measures to minimize risks to employees and customers,” said a news release issued late last week.
The company is also restricting outside traffic from entering the Home City headquarters. Payments can still be made online, in the mail, over the phone or left in the outside drop box. The company still will receive equipment inside the waterproof receptacle near the front doors.
Additional changes include a rotation of all essential employees to varying shifts to lessen contact among people. Customer service, billing and service technicians will still be available to assist customers over the phone, via email or through the online chat feature.
Marshall County Helping Hands Food Pantry will be closed through April 8. At that time, decisions will be made as to following weeks. Those who need food can contact board member Anita O’Neil by messaging her on Facebook.
Quality Beef Day
Quality Beef Day set at Hedstrom Hall in Marysville on April 11 is canceled and organizers expect to reschedule it at a later date.
Updates will be posted on Marshall County Extension office website, Facebook and in the Advocate.
The April 8 meeting of the National Association of Railroad Veterans Railway Employees at Ricky’s Café, Hanover, is canceled.
The April 9 meeting of the Union Pacific Employees Club at the Wagon Wheel is canceled.
