Coronavirus updates Saturday, March 21:
Tryon’s Pour House & Grill
Tryon's Pour House and Grill in Blue Rapids will have the grill open from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday - Saturday and will be closed Sunday - Tuesday. Phone is 785-363-7433 to place an order to go. Customers can come in to pick it up or call for curbside pick-up. Orders can be placed at www.tryonspourhouse.com to limit interaction inside the business. If customers order online they can use coupon code ONLINE to receive a discount. The first 100 coupons used will give a 20 percent discount and then after those are used we will be updating with a new discount code.
Summerfield Breakfast Buffet scheduled for April 5 by First Lutheran Church is canceled.
Highway 9 Pizza & Grill
Take-out only is available at Highway 9 Pizza & Grill in Frankfort and new temporary hours started Friday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 9 p.m.
Marshall County coronavirus updates March 20:
Department of Children and Families service centers
All Kansas Department of Children and Families service centers will close to the public, until further notice, beginning Monday, March 23. The department has an office in the block with Lincoln Center in Marysville.
While the public won’t be able to access buildings, the agency’s core services will continue. Low-Income Energy Assistance Program applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. March 31.
City of Marysville
Marysville City Building will be closed to the public starting Monday.
City employees will still be working and taking payments over the phone.
“We will be encouraging those who need to pay their water bill to do so by dropping their payment in the drop box and to pay by telephone or on the internet,” a city news release says.
The City Council will meet Monday but the public will not be able to attend in person. The meeting will be available for viewing on Facebook Live on the city’s Facebook page, and the link to the live stream will be on the city’s website. The Facebook page is named City of Marysville, KS.
The opening of the Koester House Museum & Gardens has been postponed until May 1. At that time the situation will be reevaluated.
Garden of Eden
The Garden of Eden floral and gift shop is taking orders only over the phone. They will process the transaction when the order is placed. Curbside service and delivery are available.
Pony Express Tanning & Trading Company
The Pony Express Tanning & Trading Company in downtown Marysville closed at noon Friday. They will re-evaluate the situation on April 6.
Alliance Insurance's office in downtown Marysville is closed to walk-ins. The office will be open normal business hours. People can call 785-562-2393 to conduct any policy changes, make payments or for any questions or concerns. A drop box is on the office door and will be checked daily.
In an effort to protect clients, families and stylists from coronavirus, Salon M is closed until further notice.
Stylist will be in contact with customers who already have appointments. Plans are to not reschedule until notice by local or state authorities.
Sara Naaf’s nail salon business, located in the Salon M building, is also closed until further notice.
Marysville Country Club
Marysville Country Club will offer to-go orders and curbside service only. When you get here just call inside and tell them you are here. We will gladly run it out to your car for you. The dining room is closed. The March Sunday buffet is canceled.
Latta Plumbing will be closing due to the Coronavirus pandemic. They will take emergency calls only and curbside water will still be available. Call Rodney Latta on his cell at 785-562-8077 for emergency service or for curbside water pickup. This is effective March 21 until further notice.
Marysville Chamber & Main Street
Visitor center, 101 N. 10th, is closed indefinitely.
Bob Huff, executive director, will be in the office to answer the phone, emails and to conduct Chamber & Main Street business.
Temps Disposal Service will continue household trash pick-up.
The office will be closed to the public. A drop box is available for payments.
Cathy McMahon, office manager, will be in the office from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday to take calls.
Landmark Implement, the local John Deere dealership, has closed all entries except the main front door. The business must adhere to the 10-person limit in the showroom. Customers needing to visit the service department need to enter through the main door and check in at the service office. Entrance to the shop area is only by approval.
Customers should practice social distancing and call ahead for parts orders. Curbside delivery of parts is available.
Koester House Museum & Gardens
The museum season opener has been postponed until May 1, which is tentative.
Visitors are welcome at the museum gardens during daylight hours, although outbuildings are closed until further notice. Visitors are urged to comply with guidelines on closures and social distancing recommended by state and local governments in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
The museum is happy to share the beauty of spring flowers and plants coming to life with the changing of the seasons but urges everyone to use common sense and care to help prevent the spread of the virus.
