One after the other people stepped up to the podium April 30 at Marysville’s old depot and sang a few praises for Jake Perez.
“No one ever questioned what he was doing, because he knew what he was doing,” said former co-worker Chuck Tryon, Marysville, who worked beside Perez in Topeka’s yards before both men ended up with the Union Pacific in Marysville.
