Marysville City Council’s unanimous vote in favor of seeking grants to help complete the Seventh Street corridor north of Center Street was an exciting sign Monday night.

For years, local surveys have shown how popular and appreciated the local trail system is. It only needs completion of its final link, a three-block stretch from the Pony Express sculpture at Center Street up through the intersection of Seventh and Calhoun Street to connect the town’s trail with the Blue River Rail Trail that runs north of Calhoun up to North Street and into a wooded area that winds north to the state line.
