When Thanksgiving Day arrives this Thursday, many people’s thoughts will be on food, family, friends and football as usual. Maybe the family and friends can’t make it because of the pandemic, but they will be there in spirit, and that’s the best way to be this year.

People’s minds, too, in many homes, will undoubtedly turn to how this world is suffering from COVID-19. There will be prayers for those who have lost family, are in pain, or are battling COVID-19 or other illness alone, and we all should be offering up much gratitude that there’s a medical system to call on for these challenges.
