Marysville USD 364 has released pandemic guidelines for sporting events this fall.
“All of the guidelines that are in place are to protect our participants, coaches, students and fans,” said activities director Doug Minneman. “Unfortunately at this time we will not be able to meet everyone’s needs or expectations.”
The North Central Kansas League is limiting game attendance to 25 percent of facility capacity for fall sports.
Tickets can be purchased online at ticketspicket.com or through the Ticket Spicket app. The app and website are being created and are not yet functional. Priority will go to student participants who will be able to purchase a set limit of $3 tickets through the school activity office. Remaining tickets will be sold to students and 25 tickets will be reserved for staff members. No walk-up tickets will be sold on game nights.
Masks will be required for all spectators at indoor events and temperatures will be checked at the entry.
Following are guidelines for each fall sport:
- Attendance is based on 25 percent capacity of a gym based on social distancing guidelines. All Spectators are required to follow social distancing guidelines. - Each participant will be allowed to purchase two tickets. Tickets are subject to change based on event type and capacity. No walk-up tickets will be available. - Masks are required for all spectators inside the building. - Temperatures will be taken at the door. Spectators will not be admitted with a temperature above 100 degrees. - Spectators should sit with family members when possible. - Spectators will not be allowed on the court or near teams before, after, or during play. - Concessions will be limited to drinks and pre-packaged items.
- Spectators are required to follow social distancing guidelines. - Spectators are encouraged to bring their own chairs. - Masks will be required if spectators or participants need to enter the school. - Spectators will not be allowed in team areas.
MHS/MJHS CROSS COUNTRY:
- Spectators are required to follow social distancing guidelines. - Masks are encouraged when social distancing is not possible. - Only immediate family are encouraged to attend. - Golf carts are prohibited. - Spectators are not to congregate at start or finish line and are not allowed in team areas.
- Attendance is based on 25 percent capacity of stadium based on social distancing guidelines. - Each player will be allowed to purchase four tickets. Each cheerleader and band member will be allowed to purchase two tickets. No walk up tickets will be available. - Ninth through 12th grade students will have the option to purchase tickets left based on seating capacity. - Masks must be worn at the gate to gain entry into the stadium. - Spectators are required to follow social distancing guidelines. - Spectators can remove mask if social distancing can be followed. - Masks will be required if needed to enter the school for restrooms or concession stand. - Spectators will not be allowed on the field/track near teams before, after, or during play. - Concessions will be limited to drinks and pre-packaged items.
