Hanover’s 46-0 win against visiting Randolph-Blue Valley Friday earned the Wildcats their 42nd straight win and the longest winning streak for an eight-man team since the inception of the Kansas State High School Activities Association.

The Wildcats were tied with Almena-Northern Valley for the longest winning streak last week. Northern Valley’s streak ran from 1985 to 1988. Hanover’s streak began in 2016 and has included three straight eight-man Division II state titles.
