Sub-state victors

Centralia coach Larry Glatczak, center, celebrates with Panther players after Friday’s 44-6 win in a 1A sub-state game against Jackson Heights.

Centralia typically outscores opponents in the first and second quarters, but Friday’s 44-6 sub-state blow out was the result of consistent scoring in every quarter.

The Panthers turned a 14-0 first-half lead against visiting Jackson Heights into a 44-6 win to return to the state game for the first time since 2013.
