A football jamboree gave Axtell an idea of what it needed to work on to be ready for the 7 p.m. kickoff to the season Friday against Beloit-St. John’s/Tipton.

“The jamboree went well,” said AHS coach Eric Detweiler. “You never know what to expect about something that was done for the first time. It showed us what we need to work on and it was nice to hit on somebody other than our teammates.”
