David Hammett’s pen and ink drawings just keep giving us something to write about. Last week, because of David’s 40-year stint of illustrating Marshall County’s everyday life and history, I think we discovered the Advocate’s longest-running subscriber.
Minna Bobby, a native of Marshall County who lives in Littleton, Colo., told her son, Thomas, she read in the Advocate that Hammett cards have been printed and she would like to have some. Tom called to order a couple of sets. He said his mother has been a subscriber for decades, and she especially likes the drawings.
