Wilson, Kan.

The world’s largest Czech egg has a roof over it at Wilson, just a couple miles south of Interstate 70 in Ellsworth County. The town has four smaller, ornately painted eggs in their downtown, too.

Since Marysville started its Black Squirrels on Parade public art project a few years back, it’s piqued my interest in finding more such “parades” in cities around the country.

Recently we took a weekend trip to Wilson to see their collection of Czech eggs posted  streetside. It was fun to study the detailed painting on the “World’s Largest Czech Egg,” which is on display in a large kiosk at the entry to town and four smaller painted eggs posted downtown.
