The Marysville City Council is in the process of developing its Community Development Block Grant application for a new fire station. The fire department committee plans to meet at 3 p.m. Friday at the City Building to discuss designs with the project’s architect, BG Consultants, Manhattan.

City Administrator Austin St. John said the committee, which has met with the architects twice already, has been discussing a 9,400- to 12,000-square-foot facility. The estimated cost is between $1 million and $1.2 million.
