Masonry presentation

Randy Rikoric of Rikoric Masonry, Chapman, explains his company’s work to restore the brick exterior of the historic Marshall County Courthouse.

One million bricks were used to build the historic Marshall County Courthouse, and it has not been cheap to repair the 127-year-old structure.

On Sunday, the Marshall County Historical Society kicked off its Fix the Bricks capital campaign for the courthouse’s restoration project, which has cost the society more than $300,000 over the past three years and depleted the historic courthouse trust fund.
