Draft horses

William Lamb, who lives south of Blue Rapids, rakes hay using his Percherons Black and Pete. The team competed at the Kansas State Fair this year, and nearly won the obstacle course event.

A pair of big black horses owned by William Lamb, who farms south of Blue Rapids, had their first experience at the Kansas State Fair in September.

The Percherons, a breed of draft horse known for their beauty and strength, had their debut at the fair, taking second place in the obstacle course, just four seconds out of first place.
