New trail section ready for Fourth

The Walk, Run or Ride the Blue River Rail Trail event starts at 8:30 a.m. July 4 at the historic depot. The event will take place on the new stretch of trail in Marysville from the depot north on Seventh Street to North Street where it continues directly north to a new covered walkway that connects with the current rail trail off of Jayhawk Road.

Cost is $25 per person. Children under 12 ride free with an adult. Late registration is at 8 a.m. the day of the event. 
Distances are 1.5 mile and 3.1 mile.
