Koester House Museum and Gardens concert

Koester House Museum porch pillars frame the Marshall County Community Band in concert last Thursday, surrounded by statues, the fountain and flowers. This week’s concert will include a “Four Seasons” selection and ragtime-style “23 Skidoo.” The concerts start at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays in June and July 11 and 18. Audiences are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets and settle in for the music. The concert series theme this summer is “Stages of Life, Seasons of Change.” Pre-concert teas on the museum porch can be booked. Musicians who would like to join the band are welcome to do so by calling director Meg Baker,  785-713-0109.

Songs ranging from “March of the Belgian Paratroopers” to comedy classics from TV shows will be on the program for the next performance in the Marshall County Community Band’s summer concert series at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Koester House Museum & Gardens front yard.

The series theme is “Stages of Life, Seasons of Change.”
