Marshall County Republican Party selected Meghan Voracek on Tuesday night as their nominee to be the next Marshall County attorney. After seven years of work in civil and criminal law, Voracek has the experience to serve well as the county’s top law enforcement officer.
The Seneca attorney was clear and concise about her interest in becoming a prosecutor and made valid points about converging the jobs of county counselor and county attorney back into one office. The two posts are currently separate, which is less efficient and more costly for the county. Marshall County Board of Commissioners should consider changing back to a combined office as they rewrite a budget in disarray.
